Press Conference on March 5th to Unveil New InSight™ Display System for Helicopters Features
Tucson, AZ - February 12, 2019 – Universal Avionics (UA), an Elbit Systems Company, is exhibiting innovative flight deck solutions at the 2019 HAI Heli-Expo. UA will showcase an InSight Display System demonstration rig with never before seen helicopter features. Attendees are invited to join UA for an in-booth (#C4028) press conference on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 1:30pm to unveil the new future flight deck concept. UA CEO Paul DeHerrera and Elbit Systems' VP of Commercial Aviation, Dror Yahav, will present.
"Heli-Expo is key for Universal Avionics and Elbit System's strategy; to fulfill a need in the industry for unique solutions the Helicopter market demands," said Paul DeHerrera, Universal Avionics CEO. "At this year's show we will be demonstrating advanced flight deck upgrades that provide unique head-up and head-down solutions," he added. "Upgrades that will also reduce pilot workload and advance operations in challenging environments; low visibility, SAR operations, and multi-mission."
Throughout the show, UA will also feature a three-display EFI-890H Advanced Flight Display system simulated in the Sikorsky S-76 flight deck. Heli-Expo attendees may visit UA Booth C4028 to run-through the equipment functionality for basic system and pilot controls/selections. In addition, UA will have a separate in-booth EFI-890H set-up with new software, allowing for demonstration of new Hover Steering displays using GPS velocities, and the new Transition to Hover function.
UA and Elbit Systems are working together to bring enhanced safety and better mission execution to helicopter operators.
